Clarens
Nursery in Clarens: our home, three minutes from the station
Clarens is not a catchment area for us — it is where we are. The nursery occupies a house at Avenue Mayor-Vautier 23, between Clarens railway station and the lakeside promenade.
For families living in Clarens, everything happens on foot. Most streets in the lower part of the neighbourhood are five to ten minutes away, and the walk from the upper streets down towards the lake takes around fifteen.
We care for children aged from around two months to four years in two small groups — Babies (0-18 months) and Toddlers (18 months-4 years) — Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 18:30, in French and English.

A multilingual neighbourhood by the lake
Clarens is one of the most mixed and lively neighbourhoods of Montreux: local shops along Rue du Lac and Avenue Vinet, a weekly market, schools, a beach, and a promenade running towards Montreux in one direction and La Tour-de-Peilz in the other.
Its residents come from many countries and speak many languages at home. English is common, alongside French, and children in the neighbourhood often grow up hearing more than one language from the start.
For an English-speaking family settling in Clarens, this makes daily life easier than expected — and it makes our bilingual approach a natural continuation of the neighbourhood rather than an exception within it.

SCAJE
A private SCAJE-licensed nursery: contact us directly
We hold an operating licence from SCAJE, the Vaud cantonal childcare authority, and apply the same staffing, training and safety standards as the subsidised sector.
Families living in Clarens do not need to be on the intercommunal network's central waiting list to apply: enrolment is arranged directly with us, after a visit and a meeting with the director.
The subsidised nurseries nearby serve an essential purpose. We simply add a second route in, which often matters when a place is needed quickly.
